What's new in Evermail
We ship in the open. Every release below is live for all customers, and reliability and security work gets listed alongside the features. If something matters to your data, you'll read about it here.
Cleaner settings, imports from cloud drives, and search inside your inbox
- Settings, redesigned. Everything now lives in six clear tabs: Account, Preferences, Integrations, Plan & billing, Security, and Data & privacy. Every setting is one click away and deep-linkable.
- Import from Google Drive and OneDrive. If your archive files live in a cloud drive, pick them directly on the Upload page. No need to download and re-upload.
- Search Evermail without leaving your inbox. New Outlook add-in, Gmail add-on, and Chrome extension bring your archive search into the tools you already use. The Gmail add-on requests zero Gmail data scopes: it only talks to your Evermail archive.
- Safer uploads. The Upload page now warns you before closing the tab mid-upload, recovers cleanly from failed uploads, and automatically cleans up uploads that never finished.
Under the hood: search result counts are now stable while you page through results, keyboard shortcuts no longer interfere with typing, and we tightened workspace isolation in the search engine as part of an internal security review.
Security acknowledgments: our thanks to Husnain Iqbal (CEO of Alpha Inferno Pvt Ltd) for responsibly disclosing two security issues: an account-linking issue in OAuth sign-in and an input-validation gap in the forgot-password flow. Both fixes shipped to production on July 21, 2026.
Direct Gmail and Outlook import, a Pro trial for everyone, and security hardening
- Connect your Gmail or Outlook account. Import email directly from your provider with read-only access. No file export, no Takeout wait. You can disconnect at any time and already-imported email stays put.
- Try Pro free for 7 days. Every new account starts with full Pro features for a week. No credit card required, and you keep your data on the free plan afterwards.
- Referral program. Invite a friend; when they upload their first archive, you both earn bonus storage.
- More formats, more files. Upload Outlook .msg files, and upload multiple files in one go.
- Export attribution control. On the Starter plan you choose whether exported files include a small Evermail attribution line. Professional and higher plans always export clean files.
- Free PST File Inspector. Check what's inside a PST file in your browser before you upload anything: tools/pst-checker.
Under the hood: a full sign-in reliability overhaul, stricter rate limiting against brute-force sign-in attempts, export download links that expire after 15 minutes, and provider tokens revoked immediately when you delete your account or workspace.
